What's the first thing you would do if you ever get to meet Chewbacca? You'd probably want to talk to the famous Wookiee and get his attention. So it's no surprise that that's exactly what Will Smith did in a hilarious new video.
The Aladdin star shared the awesome video on his official Instagram account. Smith reveals that he has "a meeting at Disney" where he found Chewbacca standing in a hallway. The actor didn't waste any time and immediately tried to get the Wookiee in the shot. He even tried to chat with Chewie by trying Wookieespeak. Take a look at the video below.
Smith certainly seems to be fluent in Shyriiwook. Unfortunately, Chewbacca simply wasn't responding although Smith begged the Wookiee not to embarrass him. Perhaps he'll get a better chance when actually encounters the real Chewie.
It shouldn't be a surprise that Chewbacca is hanging out at the Disney lot. After all, Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to be one of the big films from the House of Mouse this year. Smith will also be starring in the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Aladdin, which is set to drop by summer.
There has been some uncertainty about Smith's portrayal of the Genie in the Guy Ritchie movie. The first images from the film had shown the former Men In Black actor without the character's signature blue skin. However, Smith has assured that his Genie will indeed be blue once the Disney flick hits theaters in May.
Aladdin will premiere on May 24. Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20.
