Last Seen Alive is a different movie genre than what we're use to seeing Butler star in. The film is a thriller, which makes it stand out from his previous rom-coms.

When Will Last Seen Alive Be On Netflix?
Last Seen Alive made its premiere in select theaters on June 3, 2022. In just four months, the movie is now available on Netflix for subscribers to watch. The movie has been available on the streaming platform since October 1.
What Is Last Seen Alive Story About?
The official synopsis of Last Seen Alive reads:
"Last Seen Alive centres on Will Spann, who is driving hsi soon-to-be-ex-wife Lisa to her parent's home when she mysteriously disappears without a trace during a stop at a gas station. A frantic Will engages the local police and Lisa's parents in a desperate attempt to find her, but as time passes and suspicion falls on him, he must take matters into his own hands, delving into the town's criminal underbelly while running from the authorities in a race against time to find Lisa"
Butler stars in Last Seen Alive as Will Spann, a man who goes looking for his missing wife, Lisa (played by Jaimie Alexander). The two go on a road trip to try to save their relationship. But after a stop at a gas station, Lisa suddenly vanishes.
While trying to look for his wife, Will becomes the main suspect in the investigation.
Is Last Seen Alive a Remake?
Last Seen Alive is not a remake. But despite this, many can't help but compare it with the 1993 psychological thriller movie called The Vanishing. Although the two movies closely resemble each other, they are not the same.
The Vanishing starred Kiefer Sutherland, Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, and Nancy Travis. It was directed by George Sluizer.
