If Captain America had met Wade Wilson, there’s always going to be one word we’ll hear from him, “Language!” Well, it’s not him without his snappy clap-backs and witty lines, and Deadpool 3 is about to arrive but will it still be rated R as he enters the MCU under Disney after the acquisition of 20th Century Studios?

The Merc with a Mouth is given that moniker for the reason that his language is not kid-friendly. Well, it’s what Wade Wilson is best known for aside from being a formidable fighter who always regenerates making him invincible and basically, unkillable. Deadpool thrives on violence and his big mouth adds to the heat of the battle.

This is the main reason why the first two Deadpool movies have been rated R. It’s not Deadpool if it isn’t. With Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Studios, it would definitely concern the fans of Deadpool but the people behind the project assure that he will remain as is in the MCU.

In an interview with Collider in January 2021, none other than the big boss of Marvel, Kevin Feige, gave the assurance to the fans that the lovable loudmouth hero will still be who he used to be as he enters the MCU in Deadpool 3 and that the franchise will not tone him down.

Feige said, “It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor.”

Feige added that Deadpool will be a great addition to the MCU, “Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick assure the fans of Deadpool that he will still be the character everyone loved in Deadpool 3. Wernick, with conviction, said, “Deadpool is gonna be Deadpool.”

Reese added that Disney has been very supportive in the production of Deadpool 3 despite their content being majorly family-friendly in general, “They’ve been very supportive with regard to that. Now when it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line, maybe we’ll hear at some point, ‘Maybe not that joke.’”

Reese noted that Disney respects that they have been doing Deadpool even before Disney entered the picture, “I think they’ve been incredibly supportive of what we’re doing, because obviously we were doing it separate from them for a long time, and I think they’ve seen the success and they’ve had their own even greater success.”

Deadpool 3 has no release date yet. It is currently under production.
