People are understandably hyped up for the recently announced Captain America 4. After all, the new Marvel Cinematic Universe flick is expected to bring back Anthony Mackie, who just debuted as the new Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. But is it possible that the upcoming movie will also feature one of Sam Wilson's unexpected gifts? There is a possibility we'll finally get to see Sam talking to birds.
In the comic books, Sam has always had a telepathic link to his falcon Redwing. The ability is later revealed to be able to extend to other birds and Sam uses his skills most of the time. However, we don't get to see this in the MCU since Redwing was turned into a drone Sam controls remotely.
But is it possible we'll finally get to see Sam talking to birds in Captain America 4? Interestingly, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier showrunner Malcolm Spellman, who will also work on the film, confirmed with Unilad that the writers had wanted to explore the ability in the show.
"It was discussed in the room but I don't think anyone in the room felt like there was a way to do that right, you know what I'm saying?" Spellman said. He then continued by stating that his plans for Captain America 4 have not yet been finalized.
"I don't know what's gonna happen in Cap 4 though… I probably just overstepped with you so that's your one spoiler," Spellman said.
It's interesting to consider that the ability to talk to birds will be explored when Sam is no longer the Falcon. Still, there could be a cool way to reveal Sam's skills in Captain America 4.
The fourth Captain America film is still in development and has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
