Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are never afraid to show some PDA even if they’re in the monarchy. And in their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex calls her husband “H” or “Haz,” so why is that so?
Aside from Meghan, her mother, Doria Ragland, and friends also call Prince Harry H. It isn’t even the first time the former actress called the Duke of Sussex that name.
What Does Haz Mean?
The former Suits star was heard on multiple occasions calling her husband Haz.
In the first part of their controversial docuseries, she revealed that Prince Haz had been the duke’s name on her phone since their first meeting.

It was the same name as their common friend, who set them up with each other, called Prince Harry.
She continued that their close friends also called them Haz and Meg.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, Haz is the common British nickname for Harry. By the looks of it, it’s also special for the Sussexes.

Meghan first heard calling Prince Harry Haz in a remote interview on The Late Late Show, and the latter told the host that Haz was exclusive to her.
The H Nickname
Meghan also calls Prince Harry H.
In the first episode of Harry & Meghan, she referred to him as H and continued in the following episodes.
"I had a career, I had my life, I had my path, and then came H. Talk about a plot twist,” she said.

Meghan first revealed that she called Prince Harry H in their 2019 documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.
"I've said for a long time to H—that's what I call him—[that] it's not enough to just survive something, right? That's not the point of life," she said. "You've got to thrive; you’ve got to feel happy."
