The John Wick franchise has been said to be a stuntman's dream movie. And this is evidenced in the number of stuntment and martial artists who have been cast in the previous films. Not to mention, the movie simply features different types of martial arts in a way of honoring the sport.
With John Wick: Chapter 4 on the horizon, we can't help but take a look at the new characters who will be joining the Wick universe. It also helps that Lionsgate Movies released the official character posters of these stars. Some of the names we're excited about include Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Bill Skarsgård. But amidst the cast, there is one character we barely recognize.
Who Plays Killa in John Wick: Chapter 4?
Donning a fat suit, it turns out John Wick: Chapter 4's Killa character is Scott Adkins.
Adkins isn't a popular name in Hollywood per se, but among the action movie industry, he has built a name for himself. And that's because he is a real martial artist with training in at least six different types of martial arts.
He is most famous for his portrayal of Yuri Bokya in the three Undisputed movies. Aside from this movie franchise, Adkins has also starred in The Expendables 2, Ip Man 4, and One Shot.
Adkins is known for being one of the most ripped stars in Hollywood. He has been notorious for sharing his workout videos on social media as he prepares for his upcoming movies. This is why his Killa role is completely out of character for Adkins since he is wearing a fat suit.
Is Killa an Ally or Enemy of John Wick’s?
Although we don't know much about Killa, he is said to have a "common enemy with John Wick." This means that he could likely be an ally of Wick's. It's also possible that he won't be the main villain of John Wick: Chapter 4 as we're betting our cards it would be either Yen's or Skarsgård's characters.
Did Scott Adkins Play Deadpool?
Scott Adkins was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He shared the role of Deadpool or Weapon XI with Ryan Reynolds. The Deadpool character with the mouth sewn shut was largely played by Adkins, who was able to do some impressive stunts in the role.
Aside from Deadpool, Adkins has portrayed two other comic book characters: Lucian Aster in Doctor Strange and Mike Fallon in Accident Man.
Adkins, however, expressed his regrets for taking the role of Lucian Aster as it did not give him a chance to shine as an actor. Adkins shared he should have held out for a meatier role that the MCU could have given him.
