If you watch the majority of Enola Holmes 2, you'd probably think it's the Lyons who chose to go for the white phosphorus for their matches when it turns out it is dangerous to the health of the workers, or it is Superintendent Grail, who pursues the case no matter how beaten up he gets.

Well, partly it is Lord McIntyre from the treasury office as he is complicit to stop the exposure of the news to the people by ordering that Sarah Chapman be arrested and he burned the evidence they have.

Moriarty is straight from the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and is a formidable enemy of Sherlock, someone as smart as him. Moriarty in Enola Holmes 2 is gender-swapped.

In the end, the escape of Moriarty may be setting up the future of the title should it be renewed for Enola Holmes 3, especially with the arrival of Dr. John Watson, too, in the mid-credits scene.
