Who is Ronal in Avatar: The Way of Water?

Kate Winslet plays Ronal, the Tsahìk of the Metkayina clan in Avatar: The Way of Water. She is the mate of the leader of the clan, Tonowari, and mother to Tsireya, Aonung, and their unborn child. Whilst being pregnant, Ronal remains to be a strong warrior who chooses to fight instead of stay at home.

Ronal first refused the acceptance of the family of Jake Sully and Neytiri to seek refuge in their clan as she believes that trouble follows them but despite her refusal, her husband, Tonowari, accepted the family for the reason that Jake Sully is the legendary warrior, Toruk Makto.

Ronal has her spirit sister, a Tulkun which is also pregnant, but the said Tulkun fell victim to the exploration of the Sky People for its extracts which could totally stop the aging of a person, thus, being a valuable liquid which could cost millions on Earth.

The Sky People also held her daughter, Tsireya, hostage, along with Lo'ak and Tuk, thus, prompting the Metkayina clan to engage in battle with the Sky People, and the matriarch wouldn't even stay home despite being pregnant.

Being a mother, Ronal knows very well that she has to fight for her daughter's safety, and for vengeance on what the Sky People has done to her spirit sister. Ronal is also a healer of the Metkayina clan which was seen when she healed Kiri after she suffered what seems to be a seizure after connecting to the spirit tree.
