There are a lot of theories about Damian’s brother. Some believe that he is unhinged; others believe that he’s a good guy protecting his younger brother from their father.
But some also assume that he’s in the gray area, where he is neither good nor bad. How relevant will his character be in the story?

Who Is Damian Desmond’s Brother?
Damian Desmond’s brother is Demetrius Desmond. Not much is known about him, except that he is currently an imperial scholar at Eden Academy.
This means that Demetrius is a very outstanding and exceptional student capable of earning eight stars in different fields, subjects, and areas of expertise.
Either he excelled in his exams or he is the number one student in music, sports, visual arts, and more. Perhaps he also has a good community service track record. What is certain is that Demetrius is a brilliant student.
In fact, during Daybreak’s attempt to change the answers of the Desmond brothers in their test papers, Loid Forger discovered that he is truly an exceptional student who barely got a single question wrong in his exams.
He is also smarter than Damian Desmond, although he's been way ahead of his younger brother from the very beginning.
And because of Demetrius’ academic feats at school, he is obviously being favored by Donovan rather than Damian.
Damian, on the other hand, has a questionable attitude toward his brother.
We can’t determine if he likes him or the other way around, but they communicate with each other. It only happens when Damian tries to call his father.
We all know how Damian wants to be an imperial scholar. He aims to become one so that he can’t tarnish the good name of the Desmond family, which his older brother Demetrius continues to protect as well.
Where Is Damian Desmond’s Brother?
Damian’s brother, Demetrius, is most likely in the other buildings of Eden Academy.
We have seen Cecile Hall, where all 29 first graders have been staying for quite a while in the anime, but we have yet to see the other buildings where senior students like Demetrius stay a lot.
We can assume that Demetrius is just at school because he’s still an imperial scholar. It’s just that the story has yet to require his appearance in both the manga and the anime, which might explain his absence.
Demetrius Desmond’s identity is more mysterious than Donovan's at this point. We have seen Donovan in the series, but we have yet to see Demetrius in the flesh.
We have also seen Melinda Desmond, whom Yor befriended coincidentally at the department store, and yet Demetrius has yet to appear.
In the meantime, it’s good to make speculations about Demetrius’ personality.
He can be a good brother to Damian or an arrogant and confident one who doesn’t have any soft side for his brother. Perhaps Demetrius can be both at the same time.
Funny, Demetrius is the type of guy who’s willing to go home for the holiday, in contrast to Damian, who wants to stay at the dorms to study.
Regardless, Demetrius Desmond’s appearance in both the anime and manga series will be another exciting plot element that fans can look forward to in the future.
