In the world of Spy x Family, it's usual for people and animals to have special abilities. For instance, Anya has telepathic abilities while Bond can predict the future. Therefore, it won’t be surprising if other characters have unique powers of their own too. With this, does Damian also have powers in Spy x Family?
Why Is Damian an Important Character in Spy x Family?
Damian Desmond is the second son of Donovan Desmond, the chairman of the National Unity Party of Ostania. Damian is a first-year student at Eden Academy. Because of his father, who is the target of Twilight’s mission, Anya has decided that it is her job to get close to Damian.
Aside from being Anya’s secret admirer, Damian is known to have a highly respected status, making him extremely arrogant.
He thought that Anya had a crush on him because she was staring at him too much, not knowing that she was actually thinking of a way for the two of them to get closer for Operation Strix to succeed.
His obnoxious personality earned a punch from her but she eventually decided to apologize. Her tear-filled apology stirred Damian's heart, resulting in him having a crush on her.
Can Damian Read Minds?
Sadly, Damian cannot read minds, and he does not have any special powers. He is a normal child although he was one of the few students who nearly survived the dodgeball match against Bill. This might suggest that Damian’s physical abilities are pretty good.
Damian has also shown great endurance during the dodgeball match after he took a shot from Bill, who happens to be two or three times bigger than Damian and the other students.
While we still don’t know how Damian acquired strong physical abilities, it might be related to how he grew up considering that his brother is an Imperial Scholar.
Damian is expected to strive and become an Imperial Scholar as well. Until then, he will crave his father’s approval and attention.
Damian is one of the interesting characters in Spy x Family. His continuous misunderstandings with regard to Anya bring laughter to the fans.
He might be annoying at times because of his arrogance but as the series progresses, fans learn more of his back story and get to understand him more.
Will he finally admit that he likes Anya and even confess to her? Will Damian's feelings help Anya succeed in her own mission to help Loid?
