Osamu Dazai is among the most well-loved characters in Bungou Stray Dogs and anime in general. From the iconic voice acting by Mamoru Miyano to his funny personality, fans warmed up to him pretty much immediately. But who does Dazai end up with in Bungou Stray Dogs, if anyone?

Does Dazai End Up With Chuuya?

Dazai is most often shipped with his former partner and Port Mafia member Chuuya Nakahara due to their dynamic, but as of Season 4 of Bungou Stray Dogs, this hasn’t happened yet.

However, the romantic tension between the two can’t be denied, and we could totally see them ending up together despite their differences.

Chuuya and Dazai have a shared past due to their time in Port Mafia, and they were always intended to be each other’s foils.

Chuuya feels betrayed by Dazai’s decision to leave Port Mafia. For his part, Dazai does show that he cares for Chuuya on several occasions.

Since Bungou Stray Dogs isn’t much of a romance anime, we think that some of the relationships with romantic potential might never fully materialize.

This is not to say that fans won’t create fan fiction and fan art pieces about their favorites.

So, Who Does Dazai End Up With in Bungou Stray Dogs?

So far, Osamu Dazai hasn’t ended up in a romantic relationship with anyone in either the manga or the anime of Bungou Stray Dogs. Dazai is seen liking women and flirting with others, but for the most part, he seems to be doing so as part of the job to obtain information or achieve a goal.

Even if he does have a love life, it would probably not play much of a role in the overall plot as romance is not the show's focus.

As with any popular title, there has been some debate about Dazai’s love life, and while ships are perfectly valid (as long as fans are kind to each other about them), nothing is official yet.

At the end of the day, Bungou Stray Dogs is primarily a detective anime with fantasy and mystery elements.

Its main focus is the members of the detective agency, the dangers they brave, and the cases they solve, so there isn’t too much space to focus on romance right now.

With that being said, both the manga and anime are still ongoing, so you never know.
