Characters Who Died in the Ending of Daisy Jones & The Six

These characters didn’t make it out alive in the end:

Teddy Price was the music producer who brought Daisy Jones & The Six together to become a legendary rock band. But he was more than a music producer to Billy and Daisy: he was a father figure to both of them.

Daisy and Billy were born with selfish fathers, but they find the father figure they’ve been longing for in Teddy. Teddy has been involved in their personal affairs, most especially with Billy. Teddy drives him to the hospital on the day his daughter Julia was born. At that time, Billy was an absolute mess due to his drug and alcohol addiction. As Billy refuses to meet his daughter in his current state, Teddy drives him to a rehab facility.

For Daisy, he pushes her to be better as he refused to see her potential go to waste. Daisy has been desperate for someone to see her for what she is, and she gets that satisfaction from Teddy.

Towards the end of the show, Teddy is hospitalized for a blockage in the blood flow to his heart. He died in 1983, years after the band’s fallout in 1977.

“They found him hunched over a soundboard after another all-nighter. He died doing what he loved, just like he said he would,” Billy shares with his daughter Julia.

A year before his death, Teddy is interviewed on The Merv Griffin Show, where he was asked how he would want the world to remember him.

Teddy then responds: “the world won’t remember me, but they will remember the music. And I’m plenty good with that.”

Camila Dunne

Camila was Billy’s wife and the band's photographer. But when Camila got pregnant, she wasn’t really involved in the band’s affairs anymore. This, along with Billy’s complicated relationship with Daisy, causes a rift between her and Billy.

Towards the end of the season, Billy goes back to rehab and therapy but eventually wins Camila back years later. However, Camila gets sick and dies before their daughter Julia finishes her documentary of the band (in the book, Camila was diagnosed with lupus and died of heart failure, but this wasn’t stated in the series).

Karen shares with Julia that Camila was the reason she joined the band and the reason she stayed. Eddie doesn’t go to the funeral but wishes he had. Daisy admits that Camila saw a future for her that she couldn’t see for herself. And Billy tells Julia that Camila was the love of his life.

“I can say that now. I know it’s the truth,” shares Billy.

Yes, the former co-lead singer of the band is still alive. Julia shows Daisy a video of Camila talking about how happy she is for Daisy and that “she’s made such a beautiful life for herself.” Camila also admits that she’s always been Daisy’s biggest fan.

Billy watches the same video, where Camila tells Julia to let her father Billy give Daisy a call. This surprises Julia, but Camila says that it shouldn’t. She explains that while she and Billy had a wonderful marriage, nothing in life is ever as simple as we want it to be.

“So one day, when he’s ready, tell your father to give Daisy Jones a call. And tell Daisy Jones to answer,” Camila says.

We then see Billy knocking on Daisy’s door, and when Daisy opens the door and sees Billy, she gives a big smile on her face.

“At the very least, those two still owe me a song,” Camila concludes.
