What Is Blue Orchestra About?

Blue Orchestra follows a violin prodigy, Hajime Aono, who is in his third and final year of middle school.

Hajime has always admired his violinist father who inspired him to play the instrument. However, after his parents' divorce, Hajime vowed to never play the violin again.

He goes to high school with no dreams or prospects. One day during the physical education class, he ends up hurting himself.

To get treatment, he visits the infirmary and there he meets Ritsuko Akine who is playing violin in the room.

Ritsuko dreams of getting admitted to a school with an orchestra. However, her playing is sloppy and she lacks musical knowledge.

Later, their teacher asks Hajime to start teaching violin to Ritsuko. But Hajime is strictly against this idea.

As they start to spend more time together, they begin to form a bond and finally, Hajime is able to rediscover his love for music.

Where to Watch Blue Orchestra Online

Aniplus-Asia has confirmed that it will release a simulcast of the Blue Orchestra anime. The series is set to premiere on April 14, 2023, on Aniplus-Asia.

Meanwhile, fans in Japan can watch Blue Orchestra anime episodes on NHK Educational. The anime started airing in Japan on April 9, 2023.
