We all thought that Hori and Miyamura’s love story was over after the anime and the manga ended years ago. But with the arrival of Horimiya: The Missing Pieces, there’s hope that more material will be adapted in the future. For now, after completing the anime, where can you start reading Horimiya?

Horimiya is a school romance anime and manga series that revolves around Hori Kiyoko and Miyamura Izumi’s budding relationship, including the growth and relationship of the side characters like Yuki and Toru, Remi and Sengoku, and more!

How Much of Horimiya Did the Anime Cover?

The Horimiya anime’s 13 episodes cover the manga from Volume 1, Chapter 1: Hori-san and Miyamura-kun, to Volume 16, Chapter 122: Last Page.

This doesn’t mean that the anime covered the manga from start to finish; rather, it adapted and skipped some parts of the manga.

The anime’s pacing is all over the place, and it will only take you a short time to realize that a huge part of the manga has been left out of the anime.

Meanwhile, the Horimiya: The Missing Pieces anime covered some of the manga chapters that have been left out in the Horimiya anime.

Still, there’s a lot more manga material for viewers and readers to immerse themselves in.

Normally, we would suggest that viewers of the Horimiya anime start reading the manga from Chapter 123: Prologue, but given the anime’s pacing, we would like to recommend reading the Horimiya manga from the very beginning instead!

If you don’t have enough time to spend reading the manga from Chapter 1, you can opt to read it from Chapter 123 or from Chapter 119.5 (10 Years Later) to read the time skip that came from out of nowhere, where you’ll be able to see Sota and Yuuna as high schoolers!

The Horimiya: The Missing Pieces anime also left out a lot of manga chapters that tell about the lives of the side characters, including Hori and Miyamura.

It’s up to you to enjoy reading these manga chapters! Perhaps we can see them adapted into an anime again in the future.
