Where Is Ezra Bridger In the Ahsoka Series?

The Ahsoka (2023) trailer teases several characters from Star Wars: Rebels (2014), but we only see Jedi Ezra Bridger in hologram-form. So where is he?

Ahsoka will bring a whole bunch of Rebels characters to life in live action - Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Chopper, Thrawn, and Ezra Bridger.

They will be played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Dave Filoni, Lars Mikkelsen, and Eman Esfandi, respectively.

However, while we get to see plenty of Hera and Sabine in the trailer, it is very much lacking in Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger.

That's not to suggest there's no footage whatsoever - we do see the back of Thrawn's head as he enters a control room, and a tiny hologram of Ezra!

For obvious reasons, Ahsoka is keeping these two characters and their whereabouts under wraps - after all, it is a sequel to Rebels.

As such, it's keeping some cards close to the chest, and the last time we saw Ezra and Thrawn, they vanished into hyperspace with the whale-like purrgil.

There are some 10 or so years bridging the gap between Rebels and Ahsoka, and we'll undoubtedly get some flashbacks explaining Ezra and Thrawn's whereabouts during this time.

But where did they end up? Well, all we really know is that the purrgil can jump into hyperspace, so they really could have ended up anywhere.

Not only that, but Ezra and Thrawn were on the same ship together when they purrgil disappeared, so wherever they went, they were together for some time thereafter.

So Ahsoka doesn't just have the task of explaining where both characters have been all this time, as we'll also need to know how they went their separate ways, and also how they ultimately find their way back to "civilization".

As per Disney and Lucasfilm, here's the official trailer for Ahsoka:
