Ahsoka will be arriving on Disney+ this summer, and the trailer from Star Wars Celebration already has us wondering if the show will create a new timeline.

We know that the series will be a live-action sequel to the animated series Star Wars: Rebels (2014) - you only need to look at its main character line-up.

For starters, the trailer introduces many Rebels, such as Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).

The series will take place in the "Mando-Verse" and will follow Ahsoka Tano's and Sabine Wren's search for Jedi Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi).

As such, fans are expecting Ahsoka to revisit the "World Between Worlds" storyline from the Rebels Season 4 episode of the same name.

In that episode, Ahsoka (Ashley Eckstein) and Ezra (Taylor Gray) find themselves trapped in a mystical dimension where time and space don't exist.

While it remains to be seen how Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) will find Ezra in the new series, it's possible she'll have to use a spot of time-traveling to do so.

Who knows - maybe the Togruta Jedi will end up using the World Between Worlds to return to the very moment Ezra disappeared in the first place.

Either way, if the Worlds Between Worlds does make a return - and it probably will, based on all the clues in the trailer - what would it mean for Star Wars?

Well, we know that time travel can be a tricky concept to navigate. In the Rebels episode, however, it's more of a "closed loop" scenario.

But it's possible that, if Ahsoka brings the concept into the live-action side of the faraway galaxy, then it could create a brand-new timeline.

As per Disney and Lucasfilm, here's the official trailer for Ahsoka:
