Unlike the previous Night at the Museum films, the fourth installment was not released in theaters. Instead, the film was released on Disney+ on Friday, December 9, 2022. This makes the film free and accessible to all Disney+ subscribers as soon as it gets released.
What Is Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again Story About?
Another thing that makes Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again different from the previous films in the franchise is that it comes in an animated form.
The story follows the son of Larry (played by Ben Stiller), Nick, who is now all grown up and ready to take on a career of his own. While he hesitates in following his father's footsteps as a museum nightwatchman, his dad's previous foe returns and plots his revenge.
Kahmunrah (played by Hank Azaria) was the main antagonist in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. And now that he has arisen, it is up to Nick to stop him from conquering the world.

There's no replacing the original cast of the franchise, which includes Stiller, Robin Williams, Rami Malek, Owen Wilson, and many more. But unfortunately, none of the original cast members are returning to reprise their role in Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again.
