The Kdrama Extraordinary You sees the life of a high school girl named Eun Dan Oh who studies at a prestigious academy. As she lives her everyday life focusing on herself, she suddenly discovers that she is actually living inside a fantasy comic book entitled Secret.
Shocked to find out she was only an extra character who has a few more days left to live, Eun Dan Oh decides to write her own story by attempting to change the comic's plot. As Eun Dan Oh works her way to shift the spotlight on her, she unexpectedly encounters a nameless Student Number 13 and their own romance story continues forward, however, with a bigger price to pay.

When Eun Dan Oh tried to find out what his name was, she went through the academy records to discover that he is the 13th student on the class roster. From then, he started calling him Number 13 which she later changed to Haru.
Haru is aware that he is a character in a comic book. And coincidently, he was the main character of the Writer's former comic book Neungsohwa which was set in the Goryeo era. He was also named Haru in the former comic book Neungsohwa.

The character of Haru in the Kdrama Extraordinary You has no surname. Because he was originally an extra character in the fantasy comic Secret which not a single student in the academy was aware of his existence, he has no distinct name or full name and has to go by as a nobody.
