What Is a Honki Person in Bucchigiri? What We Know So Far
In the first episode of Bucchigiri, a Honki person is defined as someone who finds a heart that does not flee.
Back in the samurai era, some individuals discarded their swords and helmets in favor of Honki. They gave everything to ascend to the top, and they became known as the Honki people.
Japan Dict defines the word “honki” as seriousness, earnestness, truth, and sanctity.
On the other hand, TV tropes note that “honki” has the same spelling as "Majin,” as Senya the Majin claims, which makes “honki” genies in the lore of Bucchigiri.
In addition, Senya also claims that he is a true Honki person or at least the closest a man can get. He still has the ability to grant wishes but to become stronger, he needs to find strong opponents he can fight head-on.
Arajin Tomoshibi, as well as Matakara Asamine, are childhood friends who were training back in the day to become Honki people.

Still, Arajin cannot run away from his destiny, especially after he unleashed Senya the Majin, who was a true Honki person.
Senya now resides on a metal plate stuck to Arajin’s head, and he merges with the latter when faced with strong opponents like Marito of Siguma and Ken-san of Minato Kai.
