When Cassian was taken as a prisoner and brought to Narkina 5, various episodes of Star Wars: Andor showed that the prisoners are assembling parts for a machinery no one knows what for and tons of theories arise as to what the prisoners, including Cassian and Kino Loy, are working on.

Before the near-impossible prison break at Narkina 5, the prisoners from different levels are still working on the parts and assembling it as if they are human machineries of the Empire working on something big and finally, in Star Wars: Andor Episode 12's post-credits scene, it is revealed.

The post-credits scene of Star Wars: Andor Episode 12, the finale of Season 1, reveals that the prisoners are working on the parts of the Death Star, an important piece of the narrative of the franchise.

The Death Star first appeared in the 1977 Star Wars where it played a huge part of the central plot of the story as it has been destroyed by the Rebel Alliance through an assault. A second one was revealed to be constructed in the Return of the Jedi.

The construction of the Death Star being revealed in the post-credits scene of the finale of Star Wars: Andor just connects the series even closer to the whole narrative of Star Wars and while it may not be relevant to Cassian whether he learns about it, the Death Star remains to be an icon in Star Wars.
