Wednesday became a hit success after its surge of viewership on Netflix in November 2022, which led the Tim Burton-led series to break a string of records on the streaming site, including holding the record for the biggest second week of streaming in history! With Wednesday Season 2 release date yet to be released, Jenna Ortega recently opened up on Variety on the intense filming schedule she had to face on set. Check out her full quote below:

“It was: show up to set two hours early, do that 12-14-hour day, then go home and then get on a Zoom and have whatever lesson that I had. Or show up to my apartment, my cello teacher was already waiting for me,” Ortega revealed, “It was just constantly going, and if you could on a weekend, if we weren’t shooting that sixth day that week, it was ‘All right, well then, we’ll get your lessons in on that day.”

Considering that previously, the actress also revealed to have had unknowingly been infected with the COVID-19 virus while filming a couple of Wednesday scenes (most specifically, the viral dance scene), there is no surprise that the terribly packed filming schedule caused Ortega’s health to decline amidst production.

This brought fans to almost immediately sympathize with the Wednesday star, seeing as this isn’t the first time a Netflix star has had to deal with a horrible line-up of shooting. The fans defend Jenna Ortega’s shocking confession amid trollers who believe the actress is simply being “dramatic”, those who have even commented that the “actress signed up for this”, invalidating Ortega’s experience. Wednesday Season 2 has yet to receive an official release window, but you can catch up on all episodes of Wednesday Season 1 available to stream on Netflix.
