It hasn’t been that long since Netflix made quite a buzz by trending for weeks on Twitter — for the wrong reasons. One of the biggest breakouts happened after the cancellation of Warrior Nun Season 3.
In case you missed it, series creator Simon Barry took to Twitter his response on Netflix canceling his series prior to his knowledge.
This brought Warrior Nun fans to unite even more, to bring the series to justice. Not to mention, Netflix had been on an ongoing cancellation spree, too.
Some of the series included in fans' petition to bring Netflix down included One Day At A Time, First Kill, Sense8, and many more.
Now, amid the disappointing news of no Warrior Nun Season 3, the series creator has recently spoken with Empire Magazine on how the third season could possibly come to fruition even after the fiasco.
“It really dominates the landscape,” Barry said when asked on his thoughts on the #SaveWarriorNun billboard thanks to fans, “It just crystalized how lucky the show is to have this kind of fan engagement.”
Although the creator committed more works on Netflix since Warrior Nun’s cancellation, Barry clarifies that this is no sign of the streaming service picking up a third season.
Instead, the creator said quite an encouraging update from his end, “I do know from Productivity Media, the people who own the rights, that their intention is to find a way to keep going.”

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Barry had spoken on possibilities of Warrior Nun returning for its unfinished Season 3.
In fact, when Warrior Nun was first canceled, the creator sparked hope for the fans in lieu of their much effort to revive the series:
“We [production company Reality Distortion Field] and I are looking into this.” Barry reassured, “We will find out if there’s a path to moving [Warrior Nun] somewhere else. Will keep everyone posted.”
Meanwhile, all episodes of Warrior Nun Season 1 and Season 2 are available to stream on Netflix.
