The Warrior Nun will return to Netflix by November 10, 2022. The series writers were already teasing a second season pretty soon after Warrior Nun debuted on Netflix, especially after the show’s performance.

Warrior Nun ranked as the third most popular show on Netflix internationally, placing 6th in the United States and 4th in the United Kingdom. The series toped Netflix charts in other countries around the world.

When was Warrior Nun Season 2 Announced?

By August 19, 2021, Warrior Nun was officially renewed for its second season. The first season of the series took four months to complete principal photography, with shooting lasting from March 11 to July 19, 2021. It then took almost a year before the series came out on Netflix on July 2, 2020. If the second season of Warrior Nun follows the same trend, it may stick to its November premiere.

Eternal blessings grant the main cast of Warrior Nun’s first season because if they don’t return for season two, hell is bound to break loose.

Alba Baptista continues fighting for the church as Warrior Nun Ava. We may also see the return of the rest of the nunnery, with Ava’s sisters joining the fight, including Kristina Tonteri-Young as Sister Beatrice, Lorena Andrea as Sister Lilith, Toya Turner as Sister Mary (also known as the badass Shotgun Mary), and Thekla Reuten as Jillian Salvius. The other actors who may come back to reprise their roles are Sylvia De Fanti, who plays the Mother Superior, and Tristen Ulloa, who acts as Father Vincent.

The main villain of season two may still be William Miller’s Adriel, the self-styled angel who was outed to be the real villain of the series.

There will be new faces joining the series for season 2; these are Meena Rayann, who play Yasmine Amunet, Jack Mullarkey as Miguel, and Richard Clothier as Cardinal William Foster.

David Hayter, who directed the first season of the series, will also direct Warrior Nun season 2. The series is based on the comic book Warrior Nun Areala created by Ben Dunn. Simon Barry created the adaptation of the comic book for the streaming service Netflix. Barry is also the showrunner of the show.

Barry was seen scouring through Spain, looking for locations to shoot the scenes for season 2 by June 2021, so we can assume that it was in the pre-production stage during this time.

The leaders of the church

There is no official plot synopsis for Warrior Nun season two yet, but we expect Warrior Nun season 2 to pick up from where the first season ended.

By the ending of season one, we learn that Adriel is not really an angel after he touches Ava and she learns his true identity. The first knights of the order mistook him for an angel after he killed the Tarask monster that followed him out of the demonic portal.

Adriel created the Order of the Cruciform Sword and hid it in the tombs of the Vatican. He used the Order to be protected from heaven and hid the Halo inside the original Warrior Nun.

Shotgun Mary succumbed to Adriel’s possessed forces, leaving Ava and the other sisters to defeat evil forces.

Season 2 may start with Ava going after Adriel and his army, hopefully being able to defeat the demon now that she has embraced her powers.

Warrior Nun Season 2 Trailer: Is There a Trailer for Warrior Nun Season 2?

There is no full-length trailer for Warrior Nun yet, but a teaser for the series was released Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022 event.

The teaser recapped the major plot events in the first season, like when Ava was brought back from the dead and was initiated as a Warrior Nun. We also see glimpses of all the action that could happen in the second season now that Ava has a better grip on her powers and a clearer view of the enemy. The halo within the warrior nun

You can watch Warrior Nun season two on Netflix when the series debuts in late 2022. The first season of the series is also available on streaming service, so can rewatch that to remember the plot before diving into the second season.

There are other shows you can also watch on Netflix such as Bridgerton, The Witcher, Lincoln Lawyers, and Peaky Blinders.

Many fans consider Warrior Nun as an underrated series because of the sparse attention the first season received. Word spread quickly, though, and the series earned greater viewership after its debut. Now that the second season is almost out and we saw the teaser Netflix has released, we are looking forward to watching Warrior Nun after waiting for two years.
