Warner Bros. Releases Statement on Henry Cavill Situation

Henry Cavill's future with the DCEU now remains uncertain as the actor may not be Superman for the foreseeable future. Fans are still reeling from the news since they liked seeing him as the blue boy scout, even if his movies were just okay. We recently got a statement from his manager, who claimed that Cavill's DC future isn't completely dead and now Warner Bros. has released a statement.

Released to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is claiming that their relationship with Cavill is still good, even if there are no plans for a Superman movie. The statement does not mention Cavill's exit so it seems like negotiations are still ongoing.

"While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we've always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged."

According to previous reports, Cavill left the Superman role after negotiations for a cameo in Shazam fell through. This resulted in Warner Bros. putting their focus on the upcoming movie based on Supergirl, though they are still trying to replace Cavill with another actor. Michael B. Jordan has been listed as a possible candidate, which would be pretty cool to see.

This might be disappointing news to some but Cavill seems to be doing okay. The actor has been cast as Geralt of Rivia for Netflix's The Witcher, which has a lot of fans excited.
