WandaVision's Teyonah Parris Shares Hopeful Captain Marvel 2 Update

It might still be a long wait for Captain Marvel 2 but Teyonah Parris is clearly excited about working on the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel. The WandaVision star has just shared some hopeful updates about the upcoming Brie Larson film.

Parris has already been confirmed to appear in Captain Marvel 2 where she will continue playing her WandaVision character, Monica Rambeau. While speaking to Rotten Tomatoes TV, the If Beale Street Could Talk actress admitted she hasn't been told when they will start filming the sequel.

"I can say we haven't started shooting, and I don't know when we will start," Parris said. She then pointed out that the delay has a lot to do with COVID-19.

"It's very interesting times we're in, so I imagine they'll start as soon as they can when it's safe for everybody. So we'll see," Parris concluded.

So why is Parris so eager to begin work on Captain Marvel 2? The Mad Men star previously stated that she is already looking forward to the team-up between Monica, Carol Danvers, and Kamala Khan.

"I am excited, just as the actress, to join Brie and Iman and see what putting these three superheroes together — the Carol Danvers Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau — [to see] what will happen in that film," Parris said.

We're just as hyped up for the trio to start working together. For now, there's no word yet on when Captain Marvel 2 will begin production. In the meantime, fans can see Monica in action in WandaVision.

WandaVision Season 1 Episode 4 will air on Disney+ on January 29.
