Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Star Wants to Return as Doc Ock

We already know that the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is in the works but will it also bring back Doctor Octopus? WandaVision star Kathryn Hahn says she wants to continue playing Doc Ock in Into the Spider-Verse 2.

Hahn recently spoke to Collider while promoting her new Marvel Cinematic Universe series. During the interview, the Saturday Night Live comedian was asked if Doc Ock will be back in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2. Interestingly, Hahn stated that she hasn't been asked to return but she wants to play the comic book villain again.

"Not that I've heard, but I would love to. But not that I've heard," Hahn said.

Doc Ock (Liv to her friends) was an important part of Spider-Verse considering that she was the one who helped Kingpin create the Super-Collider that allowed them to access parallel dimensions. However, the character was seemingly killed in the first movie.

But could Doc Ock (possibly from a different dimension) show up in the sequel? "Who knows?" Hahn said. "[The first one] is amazing. I'm so proud of that thing."

For now, we're not sure if Doc Ock will continue to be one of the main villains in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2. However, fans can still see Hahn in WandaVision where she may or may not be the bad guy.

Fans have several speculations about Wanda and Vision's neighbor Agnes, believing she is either the one who put the couple in Westview in the first place or that she is the alter ego of a major villain. Nothing is certain but we could learn more about Agnes in the next episode of WandaVision.

The fourth episode ofWandaVision will air on Disney+ on January 29. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is scheduled for release on October 7, 2022.
