There is little doubt that Captain Marvel 2 is going to be a huge film considering that it's going to feature three of the most powerful Marvel comic book heroes. WandaVision star Teyonah Parris is aware of that and she can't help but tease on the epic superhero team-up between her, Brie Larson, and Iman Vellani.
Parris recently spoke to Rotten Tomatoes TV where she discussed her upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick. Not surprisingly, the If Beale Street Could Talk actress admitted to being hyped up for the second Captain Marvel film.
"I am excited, just as the actress, to join Brie and Iman and see what putting these three superheroes together — the Carol Danvers Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau — [to see] what will happen in that film," Parris said. She then added that it's too early to discuss the sequel just yet.
"But yeah, the rest, we're just going to have to wait a few weeks before we can really talk about it," Parris said with a laugh.
Although it will be a long wait for the superhero team-up between Monica, Carol, and Kamala Khan, fans can still see Parris' character in WandaVision where she may already have her powers as Photon.
In WandaVision, Monica was sent by SWORD to try and make a connection with Wanda Maximoff. But why send Monica in the first place? Some believe that Maria Rambeau's daughter already has her powers and was sent into Westview since she is strong enough to go up against Wanda.
A new episode of WandaVision airs every Friday on Disney+. Captain Marvel 2 is expected to begin production later this year and is scheduled for release on November 11, 2022.
