As we approach the grand finale of WandaVision, a lot of questions are still running through the minds of Marvel fans which could finally be answered this coming Friday. One of which is the true identity of Monica Rambeau's engineer friend. Viewers have been theorizing for weeks since Monica brought up the existence of her friend who is working as an aerospace engineer and right off the bat, fans assumed she was talking about Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic.

However, Episode 7 pretty much laid the entire theory to rest as we got introduced to a new character Major Goodner who happens to be Rambeau's aerospace engineer friend. Naturally, people were bummed out when the character was revealed by actress Teyonah Parris would later tease that there's a second engineer that could be introduced in the show.

But before you get all excited once again, director Matt Shakman is already claiming that fans, especially the theorists could end up getting disappointed regarding the true identity of the "mystery" engineer and all those other theories that have surfaced all over the internet.

In a recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Shakman weighed in on the viral WandaVision theories, saying: "I know there are so many theories out there; there will be a lot of people who will no doubt be disappointed by one theory or another."

Still, Shakman promised that regardless if theories end up becoming true or not, the finale will still be "satisfying" to a lot of MCU fans, especially to the viewers who've followed the show since the first episode.

While Shakman didn't really address the aerospace engineer rumors, the chances of someone like Reed Richards appearing on the show are pretty slim. Now, I may be in the minority here, but the character, along with other members of the Fantastic Four deserves their own proper debut in the franchise.

WandaVision's finale episode will premiere this Friday on Disney+.
