The full-length trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder is finally here and we just got our first official look at Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. Not surprisingly, people have differing opinions about the new Marvel Cinematic Universe baddie but they seem to agree on one thing: Gorr is giving strong Voldemort vibes. This has caused the Harry Potter villain to trend on Twitter.

Thor: Love and Thunder finally dropped its full trailer where we got to see more of Jane Foster as The Mighty Thor. In addition to that, fans were treated to their first glimpse at Gorr the God Butcher.

Gorr doesn't exactly look like he does in the comic books and fans were quick to comment on that. However, others are noting that Bale's version of the character is pretty similar to Voldemort.

People can't help but joke about Gorr's appearance and there are a lot of hilarious tweets about the villain.

For now, we've only seen a few scenes featuring Gorr and it's probably best to wait until the movie is out before deciding whether he'd be a great villain or not. In the meantime, we're just glad to see Gorr isn't going to be the typical MCU baddie.

Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi and will follow the God of Thunder as he decides it is time to retire from superheroing and find inner peace. However, his journey into enlightenment is interrupted by the sudden realization that someone is killing gods. With the help of his friends and the return of his ex-girlfriend, Thor must face a new villain or become one of his unfortunate victims.

The fourth Thor film also stars Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Jaime Alexander, and Russell Crowe as Zeus. Thor: Love and Thunder will premiere in theaters on July 8, 2022.
