The second season might focus on Hana Uzaki and Shinichi Sakurai’s relationship. The two of them might begin to realize that their relationship could progress to more than just being friends.
There will be new characters added in the upcoming season, including Hana Uzaki’s younger sister named Yanagi Uzaki, and her father, Fujio Uzaki.

Season 2 Episode 1 of Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! will air on October 1, 2022, Saturday.
A preview of the upcoming episode has been released to give fans an idea of what to expect in the sequel:
It will debut on ABC TV and AT-X. Tokyo MX will also release the episodes but it is scheduled on October 2, 2022, while BS 11 and TV Aichi will drop the episode on October 3, 2022.
The first season can be streamed on Funimation and Crunchyroll with English subtitles and an English dub, giving viewers an option as to which version they prefer to watch.
The second season of Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! will be streaming on Crunchyroll.
An English dub for the sequel has been announced, but no release date has been provided so far.
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2 Episode 1 Release Time
Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2 will make its debut at 9:00 PM in Japan and 7 AM in Central US on Saturday, October 1.
The streaming time on Crunchyroll is yet to be confirmed. Traditionally, episodes are available one hour after they air in Japan.
With that in mind, we might expect Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2 to premiere at the following times:
- Pacific Time: 6:00 AM
- Central Time: 8:00 AM
- Eastern Time: 9:00 AM
- UK Time: 2:00 PM
The sequel will have 13 episodes. If there will be no delays and the anime follows its schedule, the series will run until December 2022.
Considering that there will be a total of 13 episodes, this could mean that there will be three Uzaki-chan Season 2 DVD and Blu-ray volumes.
ENGI was in charge of the production for Season 2. The said company was established by Kadokawa in 2018 and its first project was Kemono Michi: Rise Up.
It is also the studio behind The Detective Is Already Dead, and it provided CGI production assistance behind So I’m a Spider, So What?.
