We really are in the age of trailers for trailers, aren't we? Umbrella Academy Season 2 is the latest series to fall victim to this weird tactic since the show's official Twitter has announced a new trailer will be coming tomorrow via a short video. I guess using a cool visual image isn't enough anymore.
On the bright side, at least fans have something to look forward to tomorrow since Umbrella Academy has been one of the better comic book adaptations to come from Netflix. Add this whole pandemic making things more annoying and it's good to know that we'll have something else to watch as we hope for better things in the world.
The actual teaser for this new trailer is just a CGI short with the time travel composites that we've seen in the show before. It makes sense that they would use that to tease us since it was such a prominent part of this show. It's still annoying to see teasers for trailers but that's just how marketing is right now.
After the first season ended with one hell of a cliffhanger, we're all looking forward to seeing how The Hargreeves' story continues. It's a benefit to the series that this isn't a shot for shot remake of the comic book since there have been more twists for old and new fans alike. Here's hoping that they can continue the momentum they had to give us another grand season of TV.
The Umbrella Academy Season 2 will be coming out on July 31.
