Ubisoft Confirms Avatar Game in Development, Drops First Look

During the Ubisoft panel at E3 2021, Yves Guillemot, CEO and co-founder of Ubisoft, confirms that a game based on the Avatar film franchise is coming and they just dropped its first look, a perfect conclusion to their presentation.

After various updates and announcements on the projects of Ubisoft such as the Rainbow Six Extraction, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline, and the Mario + Rabbids 2 in collaboration with Nintendo, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot reveals that a game about Avatar is upcoming along with the glimpse of what to expect.

Ubisoft's Snowdrop engine brings Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and we get a first look of the game set in one of the most beautiful yet dangerous places seen in the film franchise, in Pandora.

Yves Guillemot thanked the whole Ubisoft team for their unwavering efforts despite the ongoing global pandemic and he declared how proud he was for being able to bring millions of people together through their games claiming that such is the real power of video games which motivates them to create original, enriching, and amazing worlds.

Guillemot also thanked the players for the continued patronage of Ubisoft games which allowed them to collaborate with big names in the industry such as the upcoming Avatar game.

Recently, the much-awaited and long overdue release date of Avatar 2 has been confirmed to be on December 16, 2022, and considering that the production of the film has been finished with a whopping budget of $250 million, having a game based on the franchise will surely help boost the publicity of the upcoming film.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is expected to be released in 2022 which is currently under development to be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
