TXT is no longer the monster rookie everyone was warned about.

As they came from the agency where BTS grew up, TXT received massive support from fans while also carrying the pressure due to their sunbae’s success. Surprisingly, it did not take them a long time before they were able to break and make new records since the K-pop group immediately became the monster rookie that beat other groups.

But recently, they have been making commendable records that no idol group ever reached before.

TXT Becomes 1st Idol Group in Billboard’s Song Breaker Chart

Billboard announced on Thursday that TXT officially debuted on its Song Breaker chart, securing the 18th spot.

Although they are yet to reach No. 1, the idol group actually made history as they became the first Korean male artist to appear on the chart. The music and entertainment magazine launched the Song Breaker chart last year. It is an industry-based ranking for digital creators who boost the music industry through content creation.

Billboard partnered with Logitech in creating the chart, and it factors in popularity across social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram.

Aside from being the first male K-pop artist to make it to the chart, TXT ranked second in the overall list, following TWICE, who debuted on December at no. 4.

TXT is Also the 1st Korean To Win NME Hero of the Year Title

This year might be TXT’s year as BandLab NME Awards 2022 also named them the Hero of the Year. TXT became the first Korean artist in history to reach the feat.

They follow Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Barack Obama, Ozzy Osbourne, Ariana Grande, Liam Gallagher, Ariana Grande, and Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner on the list of recipients. They all won the award for making “the world a much more excellent place over the last 12 months.”

TXT made it by receiving over 40 percent of the total votes for the Hero of the Year Award.
