What happens if you are reincarnated in an otome game one day? This is what ensues for the office worker, Leon Fou Bartfort, as he juggles his peculiar quest in the world of an otome game where women reign supreme.

While inside the otome game, Leon realizes that he has previously played the game in his past life. As hard as it is to get a seat at the table with some of the most handsome men in the otome world, Leon has a secret weapon. Not only does he remember everything in his past life, but he also knows the walkthrough of the game!

Leon’s greatest dream is to live a quiet life in the countryside. However, in order to attain that, he needs to revolutionize the otome world by resolving its numerous problems.

In light of this, here are some of the important dates to take note of prior to its release in April 2022. The anime’s opening theme, entitled "Silent Minority," is launching on April 27, 2022, while the ending theme song, entitled "Selfish," is set to release on May 11, 2022.

Studio ENGI is producing Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs.

Studio ENGI, founded in 2018, has worked on previous anime shows such as Uzaki-chan Wants To Hang Out (2020), The Detective is Already Dead (2021), and Kemono Michi Rise Up (2019). The studio is also set to release the upcoming second season of KanColle in the fall of 2022.

Kazuya Miura (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out, DRAMAtical Murder, Full Dive: The Ultimate Next-Gen) and Shinichi Fukumoto are directing the anime. Ihara Kenta (Mieruko-chan, Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy) is handling the series composition while Masahiko Suzuki is in charge of character design.

Takeo Otsuka (Beastars, Fire Force, Tower of God) is voicing the main protagonist, Leon. Meanwhile, Kana Ichinose (Darling in the Franxx, Golden Kamuy, Kaguya-sama: Love is War) is assuming the role of Olivia, while Ai Fairouz (Tokyo Revengers, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Full Dive) is voicing Angelica Rapha Redgrave.

Itou Kashitarou is performing the opening theme entitled "Silent Minority" while Azuna Riko is singing the ending theme "Selfish".
