The anime adaptation of the light novel series by Ennki Hakari’s Skeleton Knight in Another World is coming to our screens as part of the Spring 2022 anime season. Like other Isekai anime that have light novels as source material, the series is published by Seven Seas Entertainment, including its English manga adaptation.
Skeleton Knight in Another World debuted in October 2014 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro (Let’s be Novelists) website. The company, Overlap, published its first volume with illustrations made by Keg in June of 2015.
As of today, the series has 1.5 million copies in print and digital. Also, as of May 2021, the series is still ongoing, with 9 volumes released in circulation.

One fateful night, Arc Laratoia, a video game fanatic, played MMORPG games all night until he fell asleep. When he wakes up, he finds himself looking like his avatar in the video game he has played.
While he retains his avatar’s powerful weapons, armor, and immense abilities, he is unfortunately stuck with his skeleton paladin/knight appearance! After accepting his strange fate, he began a series of adventures inside the MMORPG’s eccentric fantasy world, together with Arianne Glenis Maple, the beautiful elven warrior who he had met along the way.
Arc’s mission is to put a stop to the slave-trading of elves. As he became famous in the MMO world, his enemies also began to take notice of his actions.
Skeleton Knight in Another World Release Date
Skeleton Knight in Another World will premiere on April 7, 2022, at 11:30 p.m., as part of Anime’s Spring Seasonal Chart. It will reach television screens on AT-X, Tokyo MX, SUN, and BS11.
The number of episodes is still unknown, but it is assumed to have the usual 12 or 13 episodes based on the studio that will produce Skeleton Knight in Another World.

In Japan, Skeleton Knight in Another World will reach TV screens on AT-X, Tokyo MX, SUN, and BS11 on April 7, 2022.
For global viewers, Crunchyroll will stream the anime. As part of their simulcast service, we expect Crunchyroll to stream Skeleton Knight in Another World's episodes one hour after they air in Japan.

Meanwhile, Muse Communication licensed the anime for South and Southeast Asian viewers through their own platform, Muse Asia. Pony Canyon will do the music production, while Dax Production will be working on the sound production.
What Studio is Producing Skeleton Knight in Another World?
Studio Kai will produce Skeleton Knight in Another World with the assistance of Hornets.
Studio Kai is known to have produced anime series and original net animations. In terms of TV anime series, they have produced Uma Musume: Pretty Derby 2nd Season and Super Cub.
The studio is also set to produce two animes in July 2022, Fuuto Pi and Shine Post. In terms of original net animation, the studio has produced Cagaster of an Insect Cage, 7 Seeds Part 2, and The Prince of Tennis II: Hyotei vs. Rikkai Game of the Future.
Meanwhile, Hornets is a studio known to have worked on animes like Banana Fish (in-between-animation), Blue Spring Ride (photography), and FLCL Alternative (scan and paint).
Katsumi Ono, who has previously worked on Yu-Gi-Oh!, Street Fighter II, Major 2nd, and Eyeshield 21, will direct the anime. Takeshi Kikuchi will work on the composition of the series. On the other hand, eba and Tsubasa Ito will work side-by-side behind the anime’s music.
