Tom Holland Breaks Silence Following News Regarding His MCU Future

Yesterday, we learned that Spider-Man: No Way Home won't be Tom Holland's last movie as Spider-Man in the MCU. Marvel Studios and Sony will continue to collaborate and they are set to make another trilogy with the character. The news definitely delighted fans, but no one is happier than Spider-Man himself Tom Holland.

During his guest appearance in the French talk show Quotidien, Holland was asked about his thoughts on the recent news regarding his future as Spider-Man in the MCU. He responded, "Listen, all I'll say is we have some very, very exciting things to be talking about. I don't know what those things are or what they will transpire to mean. But it looks like it's an incredibly bright future ahead, and as I've said before, Spider-Man will forever live in me."

Holland seems to be playing coy about it, but he does sound excited about his bright future as Spider-Man in the MCU. Of course, he has become iconic in the role and there's no doubt that he would love to play him for many more films (although he said weeks ago that he is thinking about his retirement as our friendly neighbor).

While everyone is speculating that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might show up in No Way Home, there are some who might be wondering about Holland's future in the MCU as some have presumed that he will go to Sony's Spider-Verse by the end of the film. Fortunately, that is the case no more as he is expected to stay in the MCU. There's also a chance that Sony's Spider-Verse will co-exist with the MCU. We should just wait and see.

There's no doubt that fans are excited to see the film because of its multiversal aspect and the appearances of the characters from the past Spider-Man films. Several ticketing sites even crashed when tickets went on sale, with scalpers reselling them for a very high price. It is expected to break a lot of pandemic box office records.
