Tom Holland Makes Fun of Tobey and Andrew Rumors in Latest Spider-Man: No Way Home Promo

For months, fans have been speculating that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Maguire will be making an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. As of now, neither anyone involved in the film has confirmed the long-time rumor and they're not expected to address it until either the release of a new trailer or the release of the film itself.

In the latest promo for Spider-Man: No Way Home promoting that tickets are now on sale, Tom Holland made fun of the long-time rumor by teasing that he is bringing "two special friends" to help him announce the news. As it turns out, those were not Maguire and Garfield, but instead, they are his co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who of course, plays MJ and Ned, respectively. You can view the promo here:

It is obvious that the tease in the promo is in response to the long-time speculations that Maguire and Garfield will be appearing in the film and it shows that they are pretty much aware that fans have been talking about the speculation non-stop. Of course, they will keep on playing coy about it and it's a great way for them to market the film in order to keep them curious about the surprises, even though a lot of us have assumed it already.

Even though the "two special friends" were not Maguire and Garfield, it still makes a lot of sense that Zendaya and Batalon were brought in to help Holland with the news as the three of them have been together since the first film and we've seen them bond a lot behind the scenes. They are integral to Peter Parker's life in the MCU so, in some ways, they are still "special friends."

For now, fans will speculate non-stop about the rumored appearance of Maguire and Garfield as well as the possibility of Tom Hardy's Venom showing up given what happened at the post-credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. We're going to find out soon enough if the rumors are true or not.
