Tom Holland Adds His Support for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 Starring Andrew Garfield

Spider-Man: No Way Home gave us the exciting return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield several years after their respective last films. Since then, there's been a lot of fan petitions for them to continue as Spider-Man in their own respective solo films especially Garfield whose run was abruptly ended when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 wasn't received well. Now, it looks like Tom Holland has added his voice to the petition.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Holland was asked if he also wants The Amazing Spider-Man 3 with Garfield to happen. "I would love to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3," he responded. "I think what was so wonderful was how Andrew was able to kind of make amends with the character and the studio, you know, to kind of win the general public back. That scene where he saved Zendaya like the fan reactions in the theater, was so spectacular. So, should Sony decide to do that? They would have my full support, and obviously, so would Andrew."

It is great that Holland has added his support for the fans' movement on The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and, for sure, he was a fan of the first two films before he became Spider-Man in 2016. While his comment will not result to anything besides adding his support, at least we were able to hear him say that he also wouldn't mind if Garfield will get to have his third film and give all his support if it ever does happen.

However, it is unlikely for now that Sony will pull the trigger on doing a The Amazing Spider-Man 3 especially with all the Spider-Man Universe projects that they're doing as well as the on-going MCU iteration of the character and it might cause confusion for some people if there are two on-going Spider-Man film series that are being made. Of course, that doesn't mean that we won't see it happening at all since there is a chance that Sony would also be interesting on making it. Let's just wait and see if the potential third film will actually happen soon.
