The end of Spider-Man: No Way Home gave us a clear direction on where Spider-Man goes once we see him again in his next solo time where he no longer has any assistance from the Stark Industries, no support from Aunt May since she's gone, and he has to start from scratch when it comes to his friends since MJ and Ned have forgotten him thanks to Doctor Strange's spell.
Holland has given numerous statements for the past few weeks about his future of Spider-Man where it sounds like he might be done for the role while still open to returning in more films which caused some concerns for fans who would love to see him play the character in more films.
Now, in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly promoting the upcoming film Uncharted, Holland clarified his comments regarding his future as Spider-Man where he gave a more optimistic remark. "We've had conversations about the potential future of Spider-Man, but at the moment they are conversations," he said. "We don't know what the future looks like."
Holland also said that he's sure that Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, and Sony studio head Tom Rothman are "thinking of something" regarding their plans on the future of the character. "But at this moment I don't know what that is," he added.
It sounds like Holland is more optimistic in this latest remark that he did where it seems that there are indeed plans for him to continue playing the character. It's just a matter of what kind of film they are going to do next as it looks like they are still trying to figure out what's next for Spider-Man's journey in the MCU, especially with how No Way Home ended. There are a lot of possibilities that they can do. But whatever happens, it sounds like Holland is very much game to wear the suit again and swing around New York once he gets a call.
