After teasing a major announcement yesterday, it seems that the reveal will be about the series’ conclusion as new reports have come out that there are only five chapters left until the Tokyo Revengers manga ends.
Recently, several noted manga news pages on Twitter shared details about how the series will end soon and that there are only five chapters remaining until the story concludes.
This lines up with the recent reveal that the series is reaching a climax.
Tokyo Revengers Manga Ending
In the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine, it was revealed that the climax of the manga’s final arc is happening soon. This means the end is in sight, even according to official sources.
While five chapters are short, given how the events in the series are developing, it’s likely that the recent reports are true.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Tokyo Revengers is a manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui that serializes in Weekly Shonen Magazine.
The series began back in March 2017 and has since become one of the most popular manga in Japan.
As of July 2022, the manga has had over 65 million copies in circulation, making it one of Shonen Magazine’s biggest hits.
Aside from the manga, the series’ anime adaptation is also quite popular in its home country.
Tokyo Revengers received a TV anime adaptation by Liden Films. Its first season consisted of 24 episodes and aired from April to September 2021.
Aside from an anime, the series also received a live-action film adaptation that’s directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa, the director of other live-action anime adaptations such as Kakegurui and Grand Blue.
A sequel for this movie is also in development and is set to release sometime in 2023.
Tokyo Revengers Manga Ending Date, Season 2
As for the anime, a second season was announced earlier this year entitled Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown.
Slated to release in Winter 2023, Season 2 will cover the Christmas Showdown Arc in the manga.
Just yesterday, a tweet on the official series' Twitter account teased an upcoming important announcement that will happen on October 19.
Currently, there’s no word yet on what this announcement will be.
Given that the manga's conclusion is on the horizon, it’s likely that the official Tokyo Revengers manga ending date will be announced on October 19, 2022.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see if this is a manga or an anime-related announcement.
