Today’s Webtoon released a new set of stills featuring the editors and authors who work with Kim Sejeong’s character.
Kim Sejeong is set to return to TV screens again following her notable appearance in the hit series, A Business Proposal. The actress plays the role of On Ma Eum in the upcoming remake of the 2016 Japanese hit drama, Sleepeeer Hit!
The upcoming 2022 drama witnesses her becoming an employee of a webtoon editorial department after her dreams to join the Olympics as a judo player get shattered. Although she loves webtoon, On Ma Eum struggles to become an editor due to the competitive nature of the industry in South Korea.
The K-drama gave the viewers the first look into On Ma Eum’s co-workers in the webtoon editorial department, showing why it is tough for her to become a true webtoon editor.

Today’s Webtoon Cast Members: The People in Webtoon Industry
Naver shared the stills released by Today’s Webtoon featuring the K-drama’s editors at Neon Webtoon’s editing department. The characters, who work with On Ma Eum, talk to the webtoon authors they are tasked to work with but struggle most of the time just to ensure that the chapters will be uploaded on time.
The stills show Park Ho San’s Jang Man Chul, a fan of manhwa (Korean comics). Meanwhile, Choi Daniel plays Seok Ji Hyung’s role, who works with editor Kwon Young Bae (Yang Hyun Min), department ace Ki Yoo Mi (Kang Rae Yeon), and Choi Do Hee (Ahn Tae Hwan).

On Ma Eum and Nam Yoon Su’s Goo Joon Young serve as the department’s new employees.
Aside from the editors, Today’s Webtoon also has writers whose roles are played by Kim Kab Soo, Im Chul Soo, Kim Do Hoon, Ha Yul Ri, Son Dongwoon, Jang Sung Yoon, and Jeon Hye Yeon.
What To Expect in Today’s Webtoon
Today’s Webtoon production team released a statement alongside the stills, saying that the upcoming drama explores the story behind the webtoon projects that have been dominating the industry recently.
“With this, we plan on vividly conveying the reality of the webtoon industry for the first time in K-drama. We are putting effort into the realism so that viewers can get a sneak peek of the industry stories they were curious about through ‘Today’s Webtoon,’” it went on.
Today’s Webtoon will release episode 1 on July 29 at 10:00 p.m KST.
