Thor: Love and Thunder's Taika Waititi Confirms 'Space Sharks' Will Appear in the Movie

Taika Waititi had one of the better watch parties we've witnessed during this COVID-19 pandemic as the director answered a number of questions related to the MCU and The Mandalorian. While everyone's hoping that COVID-19 passes soon and we get some sense of normalcy in the near future there is one thing we can look forward to once things are back to normal; Space Sharks in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Yup, if Waititi is to be believed, we will be seeing some of the Space Sharks from Jason Aaron's King Thor mini-series, which was the conclusion of his long-running Thor series. Aaron had the knack of introducing silly concepts while putting Thor in some grim situations, whether they be the male Odinson or the female Jane Foster. Add the possible MCU introduction of Gorr the God Butcher and we could be in for some fun.

We wouldn't be surprised if there are more influences from Jason Aaron's Thor series since it is some of the best comics Marvel has put out in the last few years. It managed to legitimately feel epic, while also adding some humanity into Thor and his constant questioning of himself or his worthiness. It's a great run so please check out Jason Aaron's Thor series when you can.

Anyway, Thor: Love and Thunder is currently scheduled for a November 5, 2021, release. It will be interesting to see if this is the final time we see Thor or if he ends up appearing in another big crossover.
