Taika Waititi Finally Reveals Whether He Directed Any The Mandalorian Season 2 Episodes

There is little doubt that Taika Waititi did an excellent job in directing the season finale of The Mandalorian. But what are the chances that the Jojo Rabbit director worked on any of the new episodes in the second season of the Star Wars series? Waititi has finally spoken up about directing any episodes in The Mandalorian Season 2.

Waititi recently took part in an Instagram Live watch party of his Marvel Cinematic Universe flick Thor: Ragnarok (via Comicbook.com). Not surprisingly, fans wanted to know if the filmmaker worked on the upcoming episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2. Sadly, Waititi stated that he was unable to commit to the second season because of scheduling conflicts with his new movie Next Goal Wins.

It's disappointing to know that Waititi did not direct any new episodes in the second season of The Mandalorian. After all, he played an important role in providing the voice of IG-11 in the first season. In addition to that, Waititi did an excellent job wrapping up Season 1 with Chapter 8: Redemption. Nevertheless, we're still looking forward to seeing new directors working on the second season.

For now, Disney and Lucasfilm have not yet confirmed the official list of directors who will work on the new episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2. However, there have been reports that Robert Rodriguez is one of the filmmakers who have already finished work on their episodes. However, it was not revealed how many episodes the Alita: Battle Angel director worked on.

Waititi is expected to begin working on Thor: Love and Thunder later this year.
