Thor: Love and Thunder: Set Images Hint [POSSIBLE SPOILERS] Could Return

Avengers: Endgame introduced Marvel fans to the new home of the Asgardian people called "New Asgard". Located somewhere in Norway, New Asgard was the place where Thor and Loki's father Odin lived in exile in Thor: Ragnarok. The new version of the realm will now be ruled by Valkyrie after Odinson chose to join the Guardians of the Galaxy.

It's safe to say that Thor: Love and Thunder will give us a better look at New Asgard but interestingly, the Asgardians' new safe haven may only be temporary as they could head back to the "real" Asgard. The Daily Mail released new set images from the set of Thor 4 in Sydney, Australia, and judging by the colossal set pieces, it looks like they're heading back to the Asgard of old. Check it out here.

But the real question is, how exactly can the old Asgard exist when Surtur already destroyed it following Ragnarok? The safest assumption for its potential return would be that Tony Stark's snap in Avengers: Endgame was able to bring back the original Asgard or create a new version of it at least.

Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the whole "New Asgard" thing because I feel like it made the Asgardians look a little too out of place so the possibility of them returning to their original home is something I'm really looking forward to seeing. While we still know very little about the project, I'm pretty sure director Taika Waititi will pull another trick up his sleeve and that alone excites me.

Thor: Love and Thunder will hit cinemas in 2022.
