Marvel movies have a signature where one cannot leave the theaters without watching until the last second of the movie because of the post-credits scene, both in the middle and in the end. Thor: Love and Thunder has two, one with Zeus and Hercules, and another with Jane and Heimdall.

The first post-credits scene surprised many of those who watched the movie because everyone though Thor killed Zeus when he struck Zeus with his very own lightning bolt which caused him to fall off the platform. Well, he isn't dead, that is for sure.

Instead, his servants are tending to him while he lays down with a burned chest and chest plate. He is talking about how the people would need to fear the gods again and it turns out he is conversing with his own son, Hercules.

Played by Brett Goldstein, Hercules made a small appearance but his arrival has a huge impact in the MCU. Known as the Prince of Power, Hercules' addition to the franchise could mean worlds going sideways.

In the comics, Hercules is the son of Zeus and Alcmena of Thebes. Hercules has godlike strength, speed, reflexes, agility, stamina, invulnerability, regeneration, and immortality. He is a skilled fighter in all aspects making him a formidable ally or enemy, someone who is a lot like Thor.

From time to time, he goes head to head with Thor, changing from a villain to hero to a villain again then a hero once more. Given the post-credits scene, it is highly likely that should there be Thor 5, Hercules will start as a villain but it is possible, too, that he'd turn out to be a hero.

Let's see how Hercules' story will run in the MCU in the future! For now, he makes his first appearance in the post-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder which is currently in theaters.
