The premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder is only five days away and Marvel Studios is making sure people are hyped up about the upcoming film. A new teaser counts down the movie's premiere and features some awesome new footage of the God of Thunder going up against Gorr the God Butcher!
It has already been established that Gorr the God Butcher is going after all the gods in Thor: Love and Thunder. The first trailer even revealed one of the villain's first victims and Gorr fighting Valkyrie. However, we have yet to see Not Voldemort fighting the God of Thunder himself.
Luckily, the new five-day teaser offers a glimpse at what is set to be an epic showdown. In the teaser, Gorr attacks with the Necrosword while Thor shields himself with a new lightning weapon.
It's just a brief look but there's a possibility that new teasers will show even more footage soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
The official description for Thor: Love and Thunder reads as follows:
"Thor embarks on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced -- a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who -- to his surprise -- inexplicably wields his magical hammer. Together, they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance."
Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi and will star Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Russell Crowe, and Natalie Portman. The film will finally hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
