So, how do you think Jack would react to Miguel and Rebecca's marriage? Miguel actor Jon Huertas has stated that he would be very supportive of Rebecca moving on.
“If Miguel had been the one married and he had died and if Jack had been single, I think Miguel would want his wife to be with someone he already knew and trusted,” Huertas told TV Insider. “We know that Miguel will always honor Jack — even in his and Rebecca’s relationship.”
It’s worth noting that Miguel was first rejected by the Pearson family. After Jack's death, he and Rebecca became close, although Rebecca and Jack's children had misgivings about Miguel. Miguel's children also disliked Rebecca because she came after Miguel's divorce from Shelly.
This Is Us Season 6 Episode 15 revisits Jack's devastating death
This Is Us Season 6 Episode 15 reminded viewers how a malfunctioning crockpot led the Pearson family's home to catch fire. When Jack awoke to find his house on fire, he did everything he could to save his entire family. Not only did Jack's family survive the fire, but he also returned to the house to save Kate's dog.
Doctors told Jack that he inhaled a lot of smoke while in the hospital but that he luckily only suffered minimal lung damage. Jack's heart was unfortunately impacted by the smoke inhalation. He died as a result of cardiac arrest.
Rebecca’s expected death
Rebecca's death is already expected in Episode 17. Mandy Moore, who plays Rebecca, threw up upon reading the script, hinting at what might happen to her character.
“The second to last script, I sent it to the cast, and it made Mandy throw up,” show creator Dan Fogelman said during the 2022 PaleyFest in Los Angeles, according to NBC Insider.
Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate, said she "couldn't breathe" after reading the same script. Something serious is about to happen to the Pearson family, and it's been hinted that it has something to do with Rebecca throughout the season.
