Thirty-Nine actor Yeon Woo Jin earned the title of kiss expert after showing moving kiss scenes with his lead stars in the past decades.
Yeon Woo Jin started his career in 2009, but he waited for years until the 2012 Arang and the Magistrate led him toward the peak of his success. Since then, he continuously scored more notable roles in different series of diverse genres, including Divorce Lawyer in Love, Queen for Seven Days, Introverted Boss, Judge vs. Judge, and I Wanna Hear Your Song.
Recently, he was tapped to play Yeon Woo Jin, a 39-year-old dermatologist in Thirty-Nine. The series tells the story of life, friendship, and romance involving three 39-year-old women. The series started airing on JTBC on February 16 and is currently available on Netflix.
Amid the success of the new drama, Yeon Woo Jin shared the secret preparation he usually makes before filming a romance flick.

Yeon Woo Jin Has Been Dubbed as Kiss Expert
In the span of more than 10 years, Yeon Woo Jin already kissed many female actresses that it caused him to earn the title of kiss expert. The actor said people gave him the nickname after starring in romance dramas.
During his appearance on the latest episode of My Little Old Boy, he shared more details about the name and how he transformed himself to become a good kisser.

Kim Jong Kook’s mother jokingly asked him if he ever practiced kissing with dolls, and Yeon Woo Jin surprised the crowd by saying that he did try kissing dolls in the past.
“I really did practice with dolls back then. Because back when I was still a rookie actor, I was so nervous, and I didn’t know what to do. And since all my [co-stars] were my seniors in terms of acting, I couldn’t just take the lead,” he said.
Actor Yeon Woo Jin is Different in Person
While he is more than prepared to kiss his on-screen partners, the actor is reportedly not good at making a move in real life.
Per Yeon Woo Jin, he is not that confident at confessing his feelings that he once lost the woman he liked. When he met her, she reportedly told him that she liked someone else, and it led him to badmouth the man as he told her that she should not date him.
He might be bad at confessing, but the actor does not see age as a big deal when choosing a partner.
For now, he makes himself busy with his new projects and dramas and ensures that -- although he does not have a real-life romantic interest as of press time – he can make the viewers giggle with his romantic scenes.
