Who is Sally Spectra on The Young and the Restless?
If you've been following Courtney Hope's Sally, you'll know that her journey began on The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless' sister series.
After being booted from the show, she packed her belongings and moved to the fictitious Genoa City in search of a new beginning. This time, together with the Abbotts, Williams, Newmans, and the rest of the Y&R gang.
Sally's story picks up where she left off when she leaves Los Angeles. She is a gifted fashion designer who obtained her first job as Lauren's assistant at Fenmore's. She eventually works her way up to near-presidential status in the company.
We watch as she navigates the typical love triangles, blackmail, and arguments with her mother, Phyllis, and her new rivals, Summer, who were trying to get her out of the city. Along with Tara, she makes alliances as they compete to control JCV.
Sally gets hired at Newman Media after being let go from Fenmore's. Here, she meets Adam and grows interested in him, which causes Adam's ex Chelsea Lawson to feel resentful and competitive for the first time.

To say Sally is ambitious would be an understatement. The previous B&B character arrived in Genoa City determined to take over. In the relatively short time, she's been on the show, she's surely acquired fame and left her imprint on the hearts of The Young and the Restless viewers everywhere.
In fact, she was voted the best new Y&R character on the Genoa City daily Twitter account.
Sally frequently becomes trending on Twitter while The Young and the Restless is on, according to a fan on Twitter, and she isn't necessarily meaner than many of the other ladies on Y&R.
You can't help but respect Courtney Hope at the end, whether it's because of her tenacity and work ethic, her looks and demeanour, or the chemistry, she shared with Mark Grossman on screen.
