The former CBS TV show has found a new home, and the cast is overjoyed to be returning for All Rise Season 3. Simone Missick, who plays the Honorable Lola Carmichael on the legal drama, has indicated that viewers can expect more of what they love from the show.

Simon Missock teases fans what more to expect in All Rise Season 3

Fans who have been watching All Rise since Episode 1 will notice some references to past seasons this time around, Missick assured in a new interview.

“We will see old relationships revisited, current relationships and friendships tested, and romances blossoming … But we are still walking that fine line with our special All Rise brand of humor to take [our fans] on a true roller-coaster ride every episode,” she told Channel Guide.

Fans of the show are probably aware that Missick's use of the term "roller coaster" was deliberate and made a reference to her character Judge Carmichael.

“We have a nickname for you — ‘The Roller Coaster’ — because none of us know where the ride is taking us, but nausea is likely to set in,” Carmichael’s assistant, Sherri Kansky (Ruthie Ann Miles), tells her boss in the All Rise Season 1 trailer.

As OWN unveils the promo for its take on the current installment, the trailer for All Rise Season 3 says, "The roller coaster rides again."

Oprah Winfrey saves All Rise

When CBS decided to end the courtroom drama series last May, fans were upset. After showrunner Greg Spottiswood was fired and left the show, according to Deadline, the network canceled All Rise. However, All Rise Season 3 debuted this past June 7 on Oprah Winfrey's network, OWN, which picked up the show.

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Winfrey gushed about how much she loves All Rise.

“It’s loaded. To me, it’s the epitome of what diversity and inclusion means,” Winfrey said. “Everybody coming through the door represents what the country looks like. It was a big privilege for us to save that show.”

Missick, for one, expressed delight that All Rise has found a new home on OWN.

All Rise airs on OWN on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Seasons 1 and 2 can be streamed on HBO Max and Hulu.
